Analytic Psychotherapy: is a form of talk therapy which provides a safe space to explore life’s difficulties as a means towards making positive changes. My analytic practice is primarily shaped and influenced by Freudian and Lacanian orientation. This means that an understanding of the role of the unconscious is central to behavioral transformation. Through the act of speaking greater self-awareness is achieved and deep and lasting change occurs.
Psychotherapy/Counselling are talk therapies which offer a safe, supportive and confidential place to explore life’s difficulties as a means towards making positive changes. Over time and with the support of a therapist, new levels of understanding and self-awareness can be gained and deep and lasting change can occur.
Psychoanalysis: as a practice, pre-dates psychotherapy and the various forms of psychologies. It uses a set of theories and therapeutic techniques to provide a Direction of Treatment that investigates the interaction of conscious and unconscious elements of the mind.

Services
Individual Psychotherapy
This involves meeting with the psychoanalyst at least once per week for one to one sessions.
During these sessions the individual explores desires, beliefs, unconscious thoughts and feelings. They have the opportunity to speak freely and without judgement about past and present events, identify patterns of behavior and seek ways to enable meaning change.
Group Analytic Psychotherapy
Psychoanalysis
During the process of psychoanalysis, the client discovers their conscious and unconscious patterns of thinking and behavior. They become more aware of their conscious and unconscious choices in their past. It is hoped that the client will in the future make better choices due to their being in therapy.
Direction of Treatment

Psychodynamic
This is an approach to human interpersonal relationship which has evolved from Freudian psychoanalysis. Group psychodynamic theory holds that the unconscious functions in groups and when processes are named or brought into conscious awareness the group move and attain its primary tasks as well as resolve its conflicts. The individual in the group benefits by learning how they situated themselves in relation others.
